Swypie ("the app") is developed by Kevin Ung. This policy explains what the app accesses and how your information is handled. The short version: Swypie collects no data about you and sends nothing off your device.
Swypie requests permission to read and write your photo library for one purpose: to let you swipe through your photos to keep or delete them, and to find duplicate and visually similar photos. If you grant limited access, Swypie only sees the photos you select. The app never uploads, copies, or transmits your photos anywhere.
None. Swypie has no servers, no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third‑party tracking software. No personal information is collected, transmitted, or shared with anyone.
To make the app work, Swypie stores the following only on your device:
These records reference photos by an internal identifier provided by iOS, not by any information about you. They remain on your device and are removed when you delete the app.
When you open a photo's info drawer, Swypie reads that photo's existing metadata (such as camera model, exposure settings, and the location where it was taken, if the photo contains one) and displays it to you on your device. This information is shown locally only and is never transmitted.
When you confirm deletions, Swypie uses Apple's standard system deletion. Deleted photos move to the iOS "Recently Deleted" album, where they can be recovered for 30 days before being permanently removed by iOS.
Swypie is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Swypie does not share data with third parties because it does not collect or transmit any data. The app uses only Apple's built‑in frameworks.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
